I’m Grateful For My Friends.

My friends are officially the best people I can come across, the best group I have had. So awesome! So, today our school closed for the summer break. These guys, Chammu, Gavaran, Sackseaa and Naru brought for Bhopp Petiss- which is me- a pie because a cake would have been too much for us five, to cut with a spoon, and then got me a gift for a birthday that is a ten days away. Andd Chammuu made a MARAUDER’S MAP FOR ME!! That too, PERSONALIZED! Can you believe it??

And the best part is that this is the only time I celebrated my birthday in school, because it falls in the vacation. These guys are awesome. They understand every fibre of me. And to think I met them a year ago?! How is that even possible?

Its probably one of those times when you actually take out time and realise how lucky you are to have such beautiful, strong, supportive, intelligent and lovely people in your life. I’m so great ful I found you guys! And please don’t embarrass me at school by quoting this in case any of you are reading this 😛

Good night, lovely readers. You’d not know how much I appreciate you taking out time and reading my blog. Thank you all.

P.S. I’m not hydrophobic. I just hate sticky wet clothes on skin feeling.

Mera Dil Aur Main- My Heart And I- Hindi Poem

This is my first Hindi poem 😀 And it doesn’t make sense. To me at least. But I like that I composed a poem that rhymes in my mother tongue, without any help and it reads amazing. I’ve translated it to English for those of you who don’t know Hindi. I really would like feedback, especially from all my Hindi-reading readers. How was it? Did you get the essence of the poem? Do you think I should do more poetry in Hindi? For my English readers, how was the translation poem? Like it? Love it? Good. Hate it? I don’t really care 😛 So here it goes:

Yeh mera dil thakka aur main tukdo mein pada,

Main Pucho toh yeh kahe tune kitna saha.

Dil ki madhoshiyan jo thi ab tak

Voh bhule apna zaahir karne ke haq.

Koi puche isse zara, kitna yeh tarse,

Aasun gire, jaise neele aasman se barse.

Apne lafz yeh apne mein rakhe

Kyunki isne sirf dukh sune sabke.

Sab sunn ke ab yeh choor ho gaya hai

Zindagi ek geet tha, hai, ab bina lay.

Thak gaya hai, yeh masoom dil

Akele rahi, koi sahara na mil.

Chalte rahna hai par kyunki  koi aur raasta nahi hai

Zindagi ke khiladi, mera dil hai or main

Akela- akela karna hai yeh rasta tai

Zindagi ek geet hai, gaye usne sahit lay.

Der lagi lekin, par kar jayega,

Main jukh jayun, mera dil nahi haar maan payega.

Kyunki mera dil thakka ho, aur main tukdon mein pade

Main pucho toh kahe ki paar karenge pahad chote bade.

 English Translation-

My heart is tired, and I, broken, lay down

Ask my heart and it says how much have I suffered.

The whispers of my heart have ceased,

They have forgotten their right to make themselves heard.

Someone ask my heart how much it is suffering.

The tears fall continuously like ran from the blue sky.

It keeps itself unheard, keeping its pain to itself.

As he always listened to the problems of others.

I, my heart, we’re broken from all the sadness.

Life, once a merry song, is now tuneless.

My innocent heart is exhausted.

It’s alone, lonely, there’s no one his companion.

But it has to keep moving, can’t stop. There’s no other way.

Life’s a game and my heart and I are the only players.

Life’s a song, sing a little tune.

It’ll take time but it’ll succeed.

I may surrender; my heart will never accept defeat.

Because I may be broken and my heart tired,

If I ask, it’ll say we’ll cross mountains both small and big.

The Last String.

Another place, another time,

There’s someone like you.

Someone there with love divine,

To share with, there are a few.

Someone hopeless, beaten to pulp,

Who’s given up everything.

Bruises he hides, abuses he gulps,

Straining on the last, unbroken string.

It’ll just take a single second.

To cut the string and relieve,

Just one thing that could anytime happen,

Which will be the end to all grieve.

This was double spaced, based on some comments and feedback that I got. You see, Grandpaww has weak eyes!

It’s been a while since I wrote to you, but yesterday evening, I met the happy notification that I was nominated for the Sisterhood Of The World Blogger’s Award- a first- and The Creative Blogger’s Award by the lovely Suchie from lilrant. Five facts about me:

3. I’m on a strict diet so as to lose some weight before the school farewell in February’16.
4. I have a very sweet tooth. Gulab jamun, ice cream, Nutella- you name it. So it’s hard staying on a diet.

I would like to nominate these perfect bloggers:

Khyati

Rob

Sophie

Congratulations everyone! It’s up to you if you wish to accept the award.

The Sails.

The raging tempest, howling winds.
Somewhere overhead, the shatter of glass.
Gloom, despair, loneliness, it brings,
Tilting the- and breaking- blooming table vase.
Ferocious sounds, bringer of sands,
Forcing people both within and out.
Carrying the vicious melody of some faraway lands,
Birds helplessly- their homes-scout.
And the blast beruffled hair,
Sticks, rogue leaves, and stones and grains,
Stripping tall trees, leaving them bare.
Creating high and low sandstorms in the plains.
And the grey high ceiling, dark and overcast,
Today hangs low and without
The usual gaiety, bright yellow blast,
Turns paler like suffering from a fever bout.
And suddenly the clouds scatter to give
The adamant first ray of sun.
Inching slyly towards all those who live:
Slowly at first, then quick as a gun.
And the winds settle calm and cool,
Silence that lends from the eye of storm.
Everything a nature’s joke-mean and cruel,
No one wonders where it originated from.
The birds befriend the winds and they
Find their way happily.
Everyone without finds a reason to stay,
A spasm of nervousness and then laughter hysterically.
The nature mocks and scolds and waves,
And shows the one in control, in such horrendous gales.
No one survives- not a coward, nor a brave,
When nature takes, in his hands. the sails.

I can nominate quite a few more but then let me stop it here, else I would keep on typing till tomorrow. So guys get your stop watch and MS word ready before you start.

My topic was :Pets.

Pets are something I’ve never had or have been fortunate to have. They are, I think, like family and are best teachers who aren’t humans. I recently read a book titled Marley and Me, by John Grogan about a dog named Marley who plays a huge role in the family, that consists of a couple, and their three children and how the dog affected them and made them who they are.

I have yearning for and begging for a dog for the past six months. Having a pet and specifically a dog is a great experience. Dogs are majestic creatures, and they are something we can learn a lot from. They are extremely loyal, beautiful enchanting creatures with absolutely no brains and wagging tongues (just kidding!). I used to very afraid from dos and I still am, but I am really trying to get over this fear by adopting one.

Whenever I ask for a pet dog, beg by sitting on the ground, the answer is a simple “NO.” And I get all kinds of excuses for not having one. “Apartments are too small for dogs.” “They do A LOT of shit, and knowing you, it won’t be cleaned.” “You have just one year and then you’ll go. Eho take care of it?” And the best one, “I already have two dogs, don’t need a third one too!”

And these are just the reasons mom gives me.

And to say of that, my mom, actually the one who gives these excuses cried when she watched Marley die in the movie, adapted from the above mentioned book. Even though I tried to make her see reason, she doesn’t budge. She’s adamant that she won’t buy one soon.

Any ideas?

No of words : 288

Timer set : 10 minutes

Mistakes : A lot of punctuation, grammar, typo’s etc

The topic for the nominees are: Grandparents.

Best of luck! Hope to see your works soon. Enjoy!

Help/Feedback/Announcements.

Dear readers,

This is a sincere request from me to you all. Please spare a second and read. I need help on the blog.

1. Firstly, I want to be able to nest my articles under categories which should appear on the place I have pages.

UntitledAnd I want it to appear as:

UntitledWherein under these categories, I can nest my posts into things like on this site:

Untitled

So that each post has a type. e.g. I want to be able to have each song for my Music Today page to be a separate post,       not something like a clutter of stuff like this:

UntitledI have been looking at it for quite some time but somehow I haven’t figured it out. Any help, especially regarding to my theme, Oxygen, would be appreciated.

2. I want to know whether you like this page layout. Recently, I came across many awesome blog, most of which have themes/layouts/settings which look like they have been made for that blog only. I want to try something new and exciting and bold and seems-like-its hand made for my blog.

3. What more would you like to read on my blog. I know it’s more of a poetry blog, but I want to experiment new genres. Please comment. Your feedback is valuable to me.

4. I am thinking of starting little contests/challenges starting June 1, 2015 for all bloggers. It’s something I think, every blogger/writer would enjoy. It’s not competitive, simple enjoyable stuff. I want to know how many of you would sign up for it. If there are people interested, I’ll let you know what I am going to do. Please comment so that I can make the announcement soon.
