How The Rain Makes Me Feel

I wish I could feel like how rain feels,
On a warm, steadfast night
and the way it makes the world feel,
at rest, in motion, just quite right.
I wish for the patter of the rain,
and the silence that it casts around,
that peace of mind for an infinitesimal moment
That is lost, and at moments like these, found.
I wish the world unites as it does
when drops fall from high above us,
Makes me feel so wanted, gives a reason to stay,
For me, rain is belonging and it is trust.
It is how the things that leave us
have their own way of returning to us,
even when the blackest clouds block their way
It’ll make its way, it always does.
It made me feel like magic and stardust,
and my beating heart once stood still,
it folded in my hands and was lost,
leaving me with memories and goodwill.
It went through my soggy chest,
and left me feeling cold and lost,
and then as soon as I dried my breast,
it left me free and contained and breathless.
So maybe, the rain does wonders to us, the world
it leaves us free and tired and guarded and loved.

Your Dreams Are Mine.

I hear the thundering Clouds
And I feel the pain with which
They threaten the falling waters.
I can almost hear them say,
“Leave and all hell unleashes.”
Their words sound tough and intimidating
But all I hear is the plea camouflaged in them.
And when the waters take leave anyway,
I hear the shatter of their hearts.
And though heartbreak and despair
Has rendered them helpless and shattered,
They give in to their ego and
All hell breaks loose.
And with those falling waters they
Send a part of them, their tears,
Unstoppable they are, and will forever be.
Each tear tells a different tale,
A small piece of their love.
But each tells something common,
Tracing back to that happy time,
When the rain had said,
“Your dreams are mine.”

Rain, Rain, Don’t Go Away!

The arrival of monsoon is announced by
The sound of the dripping rain.
It washes away all the dirt
All the tears and the pain.

Drops of water falling down
Making puddles on the roads.
Quenching the thirst of the trees
Relieving the clouds from burden and loads.

The drops of water bring us joy.
Happy memories from the past.
Children like to dance in rain.
Till the magnificent rains last.

Coffee and pakoras compliment it.
Bring warmth to our lips.
So enjoy while the rains lasts
And the temperature dips.
