The F- Challenge!

F- Challenge

Put a stop to your dirty minds, readers. Let me have my share of say.

I created a challenge! Some time ago, I had mentioned in one of the posts here that I would be hosting some challenges, contests and competitions for the bloggers’ community. This is the first of that lot, The F- Challenge. This was invented while I was sitting at my coaching class, doing Maths, and rethought upon while travelling.

The rules of this challenge are:

1. Thank the person who nominated you.

2. Write a prose of five lines, in which every line should start and end with a word that starts from ‘F’.

3. Keep a link of the original F- Challenge in the post, so that the creator may get a pingback.

4. This challenge is open to anyone who sees it, or reads a F- Challenge post from someone.

5. Nominate 7 other bloggers for this challenge.

The nominees for this challenge are:

Sophie

Finicky Cynic

Anoop

Yusra

Adi

Erika

Rob

Kritika

Caitlin

Britta

Mon

Phoenix

I took the liberty of being the creator of this challenge to nominate many people, haha 😀 Anyhow, to all the nominees, best of luck. To all those who aren’t nominated, all the best! I hope you have fun.

Look forward to seeing your posts.

P.S. Close to 300 followers:D

Veracity Challenge.

The ever sarcastic Sophie has nominated me for this challenge, whose meaning I didn’t know, by the way, but she told me in her post. Veracity means accuracy.

Well, this time, in this challenge, you have to write something that doesn’t have any adjectives in it. Can you believe it? It’s a crime against English. No adjectives?! Blasphemous. But since I don’t like ignoring challenges, I have completed this one here below.

The rules for this challenge:

1) Write a paragraph without using a single adjective.

2) Keep the link of the original Veracity Challenge in your post (so that the creator of the challenge may receive a pingback)

3) Anyone can join the challenge, you don’t have to be nominated!

4) Nominate 6 Bloggers for this challenge

Just before we proceed, a gentle reminder for us classy blogging society: Adjectives are words that describe nouns. So, my response is here:

There were people standing there. The entire hall was filled with people, so much that there wasn’t even an inch of space. They peered above each other’s shoulders, wanting to see the proceedings of the judgment. They were waiting to hear what the king would say to the accused. They were whispering, as they believed the king and his verdict. They believed that for the the men accused, there was no pardon.

At once, a voice rose from among the crowd and they made way for the person to who that voice belonged. He held up his hand and smiled. He looked at the king, bowed, and made his way to the convicts’ place. The crowd was perplexed. Never before had it happened that a person had disrupted a sentence just as it was about to be delivered.

“I am here to speak on behalf of the,” he held his hands and formed a double quotes sign saying the word, “convicts.”

The king believed that everyone should have a chance to present their opinion. He asked, “Why you? Why not any of those?” He pointed to the convicts.

The man smiled and said, “Because they cannot hear and didn’t understand anything you said. Is it delivering justice if you don’t hear the story from everyone?”

How was it? Are there any adjectives? So sorry if there are. I tried my best. But did you get any of it? Did you? Did you? I had such a lot of trouble with this one. If it hadn’t been for him

Anyhow, I would like to add a twist to this challenge. I want all the nominees to continue this from here where I have left it. I will reblog them all here.

The nominees for this are:

James

Ritu

Fredric

Caitlin

Anoop

Shubhada

Finicky Cynic

Had to nominate these awesome people! Anyways, good luck. And for the rest unnominated, I’d love for you all to do this challenge! Have fun!

Help/Feedback/Announcements.

Dear readers,

This is a sincere request from me to you all. Please spare a second and read. I need help on the blog.

1. Firstly, I want to be able to nest my articles under categories which should appear on the place I have pages.

UntitledAnd I want it to appear as:

UntitledWherein under these categories, I can nest my posts into things like on this site:

Untitled

So that each post has a type. e.g. I want to be able to have each song for my Music Today page to be a separate post,       not something like a clutter of stuff like this:

UntitledI have been looking at it for quite some time but somehow I haven’t figured it out. Any help, especially regarding to my theme, Oxygen, would be appreciated.

2. I want to know whether you like this page layout. Recently, I came across many awesome blog, most of which have themes/layouts/settings which look like they have been made for that blog only. I want to try something new and exciting and bold and seems-like-its hand made for my blog.

3. What more would you like to read on my blog. I know it’s more of a poetry blog, but I want to experiment new genres. Please comment. Your feedback is valuable to me.

4. I am thinking of starting little contests/challenges starting June 1, 2015 for all bloggers. It’s something I think, every blogger/writer would enjoy. It’s not competitive, simple enjoyable stuff. I want to know how many of you would sign up for it. If there are people interested, I’ll let you know what I am going to do. Please comment so that I can make the announcement soon.
